Selous Game Reserve: One of the largest faunal reserves in the world.

Safari through the Selous Game Reserves and experience big derivations into one of the world’s largest faunal reserves. Selous Game Reserve is by far one of the largest parks in the world covering an area of over 50,000 square km in the southern part of Tanzania and offers this camp experience. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Afternoon Game Drive

Arrive in Dar es Salaam and take a short flight to Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge or camp and check in. After a relaxing lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive. Explore the diverse landscapes of Selous, home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, hippos, and over 400 bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari Adventure

Start your day with an early morning game drive to see the wildlife at its most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then set out on a boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Enjoy a packed lunch in the bush or return to the lodge for a break. In the afternoon, continue exploring with a guided walking safari, getting up close with the flora and smaller fauna of the reserve. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation by the campfire, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Safari and Departure

Take one last morning game drive to capture any missed sights and enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere of Selous. After breakfast, check out from the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam or onward to your next destination.
