Visit, interact, and enjoy a trip at the spectacular Lake Manyara National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions and the pink flamingos. Situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley, it has one of the most geologically diverse terrains including the highly attractive; woodlands and the shore of Lake Manyara. What amazes one are lions who climb tall acacia trees as opposed to the tanzanite blue wildebeest and the amazing sight of thousands of pink pelican-like birds that fix the lake like a pink painting. Itinerary

This itinerary provides a perfect blend of cultural exploration, natural beauty, and beach relaxation, ensuring a memorable visit to Zanzibar.

Day 1: Arrival and Afternoon Game Drive

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, a drive of approximately 2-3 hours. Check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy a relaxing lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive, exploring the diverse landscapes from the lush groundwater forest to the expansive soda lake. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, flamingos, and a variety of other bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari and Lake Exploration

Start your day with an early morning game drive to experience the park’s wildlife at their most active. After breakfast back at the lodge, spend the late morning exploring more of the park’s unique habitats, including the hot springs and the escarpment. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the park. In the afternoon, continue your safari adventure, focusing on the hippo pool and other key wildlife areas. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening, with another overnight stay.

Day 3: Bird Watching and Departure

After breakfast at the lodge, take a morning bird-watching tour to fully appreciate the park’s rich avian diversity, including pelicans, storks, and kingfishers. Visit the Lake Manyara Treetop Walkway for a unique perspective of the forest canopy and its inhabitants. Check out from the lodge, have lunch, and then transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport or continue to your next destination.
